Fast Times at Farmington #18

We had GREAT weather for the SEVWA Finals held at Farmington Dragway. It came down to the first round of Eliminations to see who would come out on top of each class!

It was down to the wire in all 4 classes coming into the Farmington race. Everyone had their A game on and was ready to get past first round to gain those points for the Championship. Sportsman class had Trey Sikes missing this go around, which helped Brandon Miller keep the lead in the class. Although, there was a fight for 3rd, but in the end Rick Laws and Terry Sigmon tied and split the winnings. In the Pro Class Mel Shealy had a good 40 point lead over everyone and kept going a few rounds to keep it until he broke. 2nd place was a fight to the end with Scott Miller and Steve Martinez being just 5 points difference. Steve took 2nd and Scott brought up 3rd. The Super Pro class had Mel Shealy and Bruce Ridgeway neck and neck until Bruce went out in third round, which secured Mel the lead. Clint Woolard was gaining fast going all the way to the finals and trying surpass both of them, but Jonathan Abrams (above photo) took it away from him with the win. This gave Clint the 3rd place spot.

The Turbosmart Pro Outlaw class was a nail biter as Troy Sellars and Corbitt Marshburn were just a few points apart going into this race. In This class it would all come down to Qualifying order and rounds won. One thing that helped them was disappointing for Alan Fore. As he broke his tranny first round of Qualifying! This took Alan out of it, but gave Mike McCarthy some room to sneak in. Corbitt and Troy both advance first round and which took care of Mike advancing any further. Next round they faced each other which would decide the Championship. Troy took the win and secured the lead.

We would like to say congratulations to everyone for a GREAT year and hope to see you and your friends for 2013. We couldn't do this without YOUR Support.

Congratulations from SEVWA & Mega Machine, Inc to Ken Fisher of Fisher Buggies in Tampa, FL for his 4.54/4.58 passes at Fast Times at Farmington #18 on Oct 21st.
